Stand up paddleboarders from all over NZ and the South Pacific will be converging on Takapuna Beach in April for a weekend of endurance racing. Two distances are on the table, 8km and the 16km championship race.
This will be the final event of the New Zealand Stand Up Paddling Championship Series, which has already seen NZ’s best paddlers competing in the Technical & Sprint races, held in Pauanui.
As well as attracting the top athletes, the event is for everyone who wants to test themselves at this level. Whether its a test of endurance or performance, this is an event for everyone.
Each race will have separate divisions for a wide range of age groups.
This will only be used if there is a strong North Easterly, and Takapuna is not suitable
